About Adventures in Montessori…

Hi, my name is Tannia Fajardo and I am the owner of Adventures in Montessori.  My passion has always been caring for children and I have been in childcare for the past 20 years.  I started off in the kitchen at large child care center, spent time teaching in home-based settings and small centers before opening my own schools.  I received my Montessori certification from CEM in Tijuana, MX.  

In 2017 I opened Adventures in Montessori at my home in North Park and in 2022 my husband and I purchased what is now our Ocean Beach location.

The reason I got into childcare is my genuine love for children. As hard as it is for them to leave for kindergarten each year, seeing them grow and treating them as if they were my own child brings me happiness.

I am married, have a daughter, Andrea (who teaches in North Park) and a son, Oliver(3 years old).
